Condolences to Taylor Pyatt

From a news radio 1130 report, and TSN, Vancouver Canucks center Taylor Pyatt's fiancee, Ms. Carly Bragnalo, was killed yesterday in a car accident while on vacation in Jamaica. Pyatt has left the Canucks to return home to Thunder Bay, Ontario to be with his family.

The wedding was to take place this summer.

Carly was a lovely and generous young woman who shared her spirit for life with our players, their spouses and their extended families. We will support the Bragnalo family, Taylor and his entire family in any way we can during this very difficult time.''

I cannot imagine how Taylor must be feeling right now. Obviously his thoughts are likely not on hockey right now, and nor should they be. I cannot imagine how he comes back from this to play again. I don't know that I would ever leave the couch again, let alone be able to play hockey.

Anyways. My thoughts and prayers go out to Taylor and his family. This is a terrible tragedy, and one you wish on no one, even if they are a rival.
